How does it work?
This website provides some online tools that use mathematical techniques to analyse your hand strength in a Texas Hold'em poker game. Unlike other tools that can be found on the web, you don't have to provide other players' hands, the only input needed is the cards you can see, that is, your cards and the board cards.
There are two sections that try different approaches:
- Probability Calculator: This section calculates the probability of having at the end of the game every type of hand. Since flop it also calculates outs, odds and exact probability to win, tie or lose against a single opponent. In this section there are no simulations, every combination possible is taken into account in order to calculate exact probability.
- Simulator: In this section a number of random simulations are performed in order to obtain an statistical approximation. Type of hands and approximate probability to win, lose and tie against 1 to 11 opponents are displayed. You can select the number of simulations and check its reliability comparing the approximate figures of the 2 players game of this section with the real probability of the previous section. You will find that, regardless the number of simulations you select, it approximates quite well.
Every time you change a card a quick analysis is performed. It consists of 1000 simulations obtaining win, tie and lose approximate probabilities. From flop to river it displays outs and odds also.
Cards Selector
Probability Calculator
Evaluates your current cards calculating total probability of each type of hand. From flop it also calculates outs, odds and exact probability to win against one opponent.
Simulator
Simulates complete games (till the showdown) against up to 11 opponents obtaining win, tie & lose statistics. It also displays the type of hand distribution.
